About
About Michelle
Michelle McLelland spent 24 years in education before retiring from teaching in 2025.
After years of supporting JR’s rodeo announcing career, Michelle found her own place in the arena as a music director. What began as a shared passion became a professional career.
Today, Michelle works full-time as a rodeo music director and holds a PRCA Music Director card.
With an understanding of rodeo, music, and the energy of a live crowd, Michelle helps create the atmosphere that keeps an audience engaged from the opening ceremonies through the final ride.
Together, JR and Michelle bring two complementary talents to the arena, combining announcing and music direction. They have been married since 2015.
